Click the button below to apply for the Kalamazoo RESA Head Start program by filling out the online Kalamazoo County Pre-K application.You could download a hard copy of the 2022-2023 pre-K application here:

At least one of the following criteria must be met in order to be eligible for the Head Start program:- Family income must be at or below 100% of the federal poverty guideline, or
- Family is receiving public assistance (TANF or SSI), or
- Family is homeless, or
- The child is in foster care, or
- There is no charge for Head Start Services

Applications are accepted year-round from families who meet the eligibility criteria. The Head Start program runs throughout the school year. If classes are full, we will add your child’s name to a waiting list.To start the enrollment process, simply visit dreambigstartsmall.org or contact Head Start at 269-250-9845.You will need the following documents to complete your application:- Proof of income (last year's W-2, TANF, SSI, pay stubs, SNAP benefits)
- Proof of age (birth certificate, or other type of birth record or passport would be acceptable.)
- Recent physical (within on year) and dental examination report (within 6 months)
- Medicaid or insurance card
