Kalamazoo RESA Early On uses the primary service provider approach (PSP), which is designed to put families first. Our team works collaboratively to help families with their children’s growth and development. We focus on routine-based interventions, so support is provided in a practical way during everyday activities.
Early intervention builds upon and strengthens support and connections for family members and caregivers, enhancing children’s development through everyday opportunities. The provider coaches the family to support the child through daily routines. The early intervention team collaborates to provide quality service to children. The staff consists of early childhood teacher consultants, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and parent educators.
Anyone can refer a child ages birth to three, for Early On. Call (269) 250-9649 to schedule an in-home assessment. All services are provided free of charge.
