Career Awareness & Exploration (CAE) — Grades K-12
Career Awareness & Exploration (CAE), formerly known as Career Readiness, encompasses the K-12 curriculum and experiences designed to help students see what, and who, they can be at an earlier age. Through a deeper and more purposeful self-exploration process, students will gain a better understanding of themselves and potential career opportunities while simultaneously examining 21st Century job skills.

Work-Based Learning (WBL)
Work-Based Learning is an opportunity for students to gain on-the-job experience and career skills in a mutually beneficial employer partnership. Through work experience at job sites across the county, students will increase awareness across the broad spectrum of careers and develop critical teamwork skills to help them succeed in the world of work. -
Career and Technical Education (CTE) — Grades 10-12
This program offers a range of hands-on career preparation courses to students in grades 10-12. CTE courses reflect real-world applications and maintain the rigorous requirements of the Michigan Merit Curriculum, as well as state, national and industry technical standards.

Education for the Arts (EFA) — Grades K-12
EFA offers arts-intensive classes in the disciplines of theater, musical theater, music, dance, visual arts, digital arts and film/video arts. Early/Middle College (EMC) — Grades 9-12
Kalamazoo County Early/Middle College (EMC) is an innovative early college program, which gives students the opportunity to earn an associate degree or certificate with an additional year of high school.Degrees in Associate of Applied Sciences (AAS)
AAS degrees are occupational in orientation and are designed to prepare graduates for immediate employment. They require successful completion of a minimum of 62 credit hours.
Certificates (CERT)
Certificate programs prepare graduates for a specialized occupation. They require successful completion of 30 credits hours or more.
Certificates of Achievement (COA)
Certificate of Achievement programs requires fewer courses than a regular certificate program providing training in a specific set of skills for employment in a specific occupation. They require successful completion of more than 3 but less than 30 hours of credit.
Transfer Degrees in Associate of Arts (AA) or Associate of Science (AS)
AA or AS degrees are for students planning to transfer to a four-year university. They require successful completion of a minimum of 62 credit hours.
