  • Formerly known as Education for Employment (EFE), Kalamazoo RESA Career & Technical Education (CTE) equips K-12 students with the academic and technical skills, knowledge and training necessary to succeed in well-paying, high-demand careers.

    Through hands-on job training and intensive K-12 curriculum aligned directly with industry standards and 21st Century skills, access to state-of-the-art technology, career coaches and instructional support staff, Kalamazoo County students will be future ready and prepared to thrive in the workforce of tomorrow.

  • Newly Formed CTE Steering Committee Convenes for First Meeting

    The steering committee will integrate perspectives from education, community and business to help ensure that our county's redesigned CTE program and future CTE Center will provide meaningful, equitable opportunities for young people to see what they can be and develop their skills, all while supporting a thriving, more equitable region.

  • Student Entrepreneurs Set Up Shop for 'Lemonade Day' Project

    This summer, KRESA is coordinating the “Lemonade Day” program for Kalamazoo Public Schools' Summer Readiness and Galesburg Augusta and Parchment Active Academy. Students will be setting up their own lemonade stands and selling their products to the community. Lemonade Day prepares kids become the business leaders, social advocates, community volunteers and forward-thinking citizens of tomorrow!

  • Public-Private Partnership Advances CTE System Redesign

    KRESA and Southwest Michigan First’s public-private partnership, formed ahead of the 2019 CTE millage campaign, remains strong as the two agencies are united in the goal of redesigning Kalamazoo County’s CTE system.

  • Kalamazoo RESA Honors Outstanding Seniors

    The 2021 Kalamazoo RESA Outstanding Senior Awards celebrated 64 Kalamazoo County students from Kalamazoo RESA’s Education for the Arts (EFA) and Education for Employment/Career and Technical Education (EFE/CTE) programs, awarding a total of $58,500 in scholarships.
