Youth Opportunities Unlimited (Y.O.U.) provides services to assist youth in gaining the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to transition to adulthood, and to pursue education and career-path options that prepare them for competitive workplace opportunities.Services may encompass tutoring, study-skills training, and instruction leading to high-school completion or GED attainment, as well as supportive dropout recovery and prevention strategies, school-reconnection activities, and transition activities for pursuing post-secondary education. Y.O.U. also assists youth with workforce preparation, paid-work experiences with academic and/or occupational education components, and training opportunities for specific occupations.

On-the-Job Training - Provides training reimbursement dollars to employers Pre-Apprenticeships - Designed to prepare individuals to enter and succeed in a Registered Apprenticeship program Paid Internships - Short-term paid employment opportunity used to build work history and gain related occupational skills Job Shadowing Opportunities - Visits to area employers to assist with career pathway decision making Paid Work Experience - Opportunity to build work history and earn school credit Job Placement Assistance - Employability skills training and links to employers and job openings Education Tours - College campus visits to assist with post-secondary enrollment School Credit - Students earn a 1/2 elective credit toward meeting high school completion requirements Credit Recovery/Dropout Prevention - Opportunity for students to recover lost credits to get back on-track toward meeting graduation requirements Talent Tours - Career exploration onsite at in-demand industries/businesses
