The Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is a state-funded, high-quality preschool program for qualifying four-year-old children.
GSRP is a part of Kalamazoo County Pre-K, which is a collaborative and inclusive effort between Head Start, Great Start Readiness Program, and Kalamazoo County Ready 4s to provide high-quality pre-kindergarten experiences that prepares children and families for life-long success.
Our mission is to provide equitable, high-quality developmentally appropriate services to support the whole child and whole family in Kalamazoo County. In partnership with families and the community, we build a strong foundation for children's developmental skills and empower families to engage in their child's educational journey, starting at birth.
Kalamazoo RESA supports our local GSRP programs by providing a highly qualified Early Childhood Specialist, practice-based coaching, mentorship to directors, financial technical support, behavior/social-emotional support, professional development and training, and data reporting to the State of Michigan.
