Bids will be accepted under seal to Owner for Technology Bid Package to the attention of Tom Zahrt at 1819 E Milham Aven, Portage, MI 49002 before 4:00 PM, local time, on December 19, 2023, for the following project:
KALAMAZOO RESA CTE CENTER – TECHNOLOGY BID PACKAGE
Bids will be opened and read aloud publicly in the presence of the bidders at KRESA, 1819 E. Milham Ave. Bidders will check-in at the front desk. Bids received after the specified date and time will not be accepted and will be returned unopened. No electronic bids will be accepted.
Project Description: This Bid Package is for all low voltage systems shown in the project documents including audio/video, cabling, clocks, electronic access control, electronic surveillance, infrastructure equipment, and paging. for the entire building of the new Career and Technical Education Center Project. Note: Fire alarms, wireless access points, switches, and patch cables are by others and not included in this bid package.

As required by State Law (P.A. 232 of 2004), all bids shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between Kalamazoo Regional Educational Service Agency (KRESA) or any employee of the bidder and any member of the school board or the superintendent of the school district; and a sworn and notarized Affidavit of Compliance-Iran Economics Sanctions Act. The District shall not accept a bid that does not include the sworn and notarized disclosure statements.
Bidders will be required to provide Bid security in the form of a surety bond, certified check, or cashier's check in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount.
A pre-bid meeting will be held virtually on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, 3:30 PM, Eastern Standard Time.
No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after submission.
The Owner reserves the right to withdraw this bid request at any time and for any reason and to issue such clarifications, modifications and/or amendments as it may deem appropriate. The Owner also reserves the right to waive any informality in or reject any part of a bid, accept or reject any or all bids, alternates, or proposals, and to accept those bids, alternates, or proposals that, in Owner’s judgement, serve the Owner’s best interests.
