40 Years of Service and Support

The Kalamazoo Regional Educational Service Agency (KRESA) Foundation was created in 1984 to support educational opportunities for underserved young learners in our community. Forty years later, our vital work continues! The Foundation continues to grow to support the mission of KRESA: to transform lives by inspiring educational excellence. We believe in the transformative power of education to strengthen schools, empower families, and uplift communities. Together, we work to bring educational initiatives to Kalamazoo County that foster innovative programs, nurture staff, and support students’ aspirations. Join us as we create a brighter future for all, one initiative at a time.

The KRESA Foundation is actively recruiting new board members. Are you interested in joining our mission of providing comprehensive, high-quality educational services to students, schools, and families in southwest Michigan? Learn more today

    Our Work

Today, the KRESA Foundation supports initiatives that inspire excellence in education from cradle to career. We do this through a variety of programs, including scholarships for students and grants for current and future educators.

In 2023, the KRESA Foundation awarded nearly $80,000 in grants and scholarships:
