A Message from Assistant Superintendent Eric Stewart

March 19, 2024

Friends and partners,

Eric Stewart Headshot

I hope this message finds you well and filled with anticipation because I've got some exciting news to share about our Career Connect Campus (CCC) project! As I sit down to write this update, we are precisely 524 days away from the grand opening, and let me tell you, the energy in the air is palpable.

First and foremost, let's talk about construction. Our dream is steadily materializing as the building rises from the ground, a testament to the dedication and hard work of everyone involved. It's truly incredible to witness the community's vision taking shape right before our eyes. Every beam, every wall, and every window represent the transformative power of collective effort.

Career Connect Campus Construction But that's not all. I am thrilled to announce that we are gearing up to welcome a stellar team of 64 staff members to our team over the next few months. These dedicated individuals will spend the next year preparing to serve over 1,300 students annually, empowering them to pursue their dreams and chart their own paths to success. With their passion, expertise, and unwavering commitment to student success, I have no doubt that they will make the CCC a beacon of opportunity and possibility for years to come. If you’re interested in joining the CCC team, keep an eye out for job postings on the KRESA website and via our social media

Now, let's talk about the incredible work well underway in the world of career awareness and exploration, work-based learning, and career pathway planning. Through innovative programs, hands-on learning opportunities, and partnerships with local businesses and organizations, we are empowering students to explore their interests, develop essential skills, and discover meaningful career pathways. From industry tours and featured guest speakers to internships and our new Discovery Lab, our team is leading critical career development discussions with students across a K-12 continuum. We believe that every student deserves the chance to pursue their passions and achieve their full potential, and we're committed to making that vision a reality.

I am constantly inspired by the passion and dedication of everyone involved in this important work, from our staff and students to our community partners and supporters. Together, we are building more than just a campus or programs; we are building a brighter future for generations to come.

So, mark your calendars, spread the word, and get ready to join us as we count down to the grand opening of Career Connect Campus. The journey has been incredible so far, and I can't wait to see what the future holds.

Until next time,

Eric Stewart
