Tip line challenges “culture of silence”

OK2SAY is a new safety hotline for Michigan schools, aimed at preventing school violence. Lawmakers and school officials hope to empower students, parents and employees to speak up without fear of retaliation. Anyone aware of a dangerous situation, from threats of a school attack, self-harm and dangerous driving to bullying, drug abuse and dating violence, can submit tips confidentially to OK2SAY.

Tips may be submitted by phone call, text, email or through the OK2SAY mobile app.
