Our program consists of three major parts for parents with children from birth to age 3:

Home Visits
At your invitation, a certified parent educator will share information on child development, bring an age-appropriate activity for you and your child to do together, and with you, observe your child's play and development. Visits last 30-60 minutes and are available for three months. Timely information will then be mailed to the home.

Developmental Screenings

Developmental screenings provide opportunities to monitor your child's growth related to standard measures of child development. Screenings usually reassure parents that their child is meeting developmental milestones within typical age ranges. If issues are identified that may affect future learning, referrals will be made to appropriate community resources.

Playgroups
Playgroups consist of small groups of parents with their children and a parent educator. Each playgroup is filled with fun activities. They meet during the day at local elementary schools around Kalamazoo County. Check our playgroup calendar for dates, times and locations.
