• EFA Grant Applications and Information

     

    Awards for the 2023-2024 school year have been made. Applications for the 2024-2025 school year will be available starting December 1 at kresa.egrant.net.

     
    New applicants should create an account in their name. Applications must be completed and submitted electronically and will be due by 11:59 p.m. on the designated date below.
     
     

    Irving S. Gilmore Student Arts Scholarships ($100,000)

    Scholarships are available to eligible* K-12 Kalamazoo County students for artistic education and enrichment beyond the classroom. Funds for the 2022-2023 school year will be awarded for private arts instruction, classes at arts institutions or summer arts camps and other arts related activities.  All intermediate and advanced level applicants must also upload a work sample to be reviewed by the grant panelists. (*Legal residence must be within one of the nine local districts serviced by Kalamazoo RESA. Current seniors are not eligible to apply.)

    Irving S. Gilmore Student Artistic Equipment Program ($20,000)

    Scholarships give eligible* advanced-level students from Kalamazoo County access to equipment that is either not available through rental programs or is prohibitively expensive to purchase. All applicants must upload a work sample to be reviewed by grant panelists. (*Legal residence must be within one of the nine local districts serviced by Kalamazoo RESA.)

    EFA Artistic Project Grants for Classrooms ($25,000)

    Grants are available to eligible Kalamazoo County schools to help enhance and expand arts education curriculum, classroom projects and extracurricular activities through workshops, artist residencies and field trips to performances and exhibits.

    EFA Artistic Development Grants for Educators ($25,000)

    Grants are available to eligible Kalamazoo County arts teachers and educators as well as EFA Teaching Artists, this program provides educators the rare opportunity to develop their own artistic abilities and knowledge base through artist retreats, workshops and mentorships.
