Students in the EFE Automotive Technology course at Comstock High School customized a 2004 Jeep Wrangler as part of the Specialty Equipment Market Association’s (SEMA) High School Vehicle Build Program.

The program provides automotive technology students with a vehicle on which they can gain hands-on experience by working to customize with the help from industry volunteers and manufacturers. This year’s program also boasted participants from four other high schools across the country, and each group of students received a Jeep Wrangler.

The only Jeep with a hard top, the EFE students’ modifications to the vehicle included a roof rack, LED headlights, full carpet replacement, bumpers, tire carrier and rock sliders, a suspension kit as well as a fresh coat of paint.

The EFE Automotive Technology 2004 Jeep Wrangler, along with the other customized vehicles from the program, will be available for purchase at auction on Tuesday, July 16 via bringatrailer.com.

Other vehicles available during the auction are:

2005 Jeep Wrangler, customized by the Santa Fe Early College Opportunities in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

2002 Jeep Wrangler, customized by C.D. Hylton High School in Woodbridge, Virginia.

1997 Jeep Wrangler, customized by Santa Ynez Valley Union High School in Santa Ynez, California.
