What does 2Gen mean?
2Gen refers to two generations, an adult and young person in the same household. The family is supported as they identify and work towards their goals. The program builds on the strengths and unique needs of each family.
-
What is the time commitment for the program?
Families should be prepared to commit up to 3hrs each week for in-person sessions and a meeting with a career coach. A coach can support with exploring a new career path, building employability skills, or finding training/educational opportunities.
After the program is completed, the 2Gen team will stay connected with families to offer support as they work towards their goals.
-
What happens if my family misses a session?
The more a family participates in the program, the more they get out of it. We understand life happens! We ask that families let the 2Gen team know ahead of time if they need to miss a session to be sure they receive the information they will miss.
-
How is the program stipend distributed?
The adult and youth will each receive their own monetary stipend at the end of the 10 - week program.
