7-week employment opportunity starting on June 22, 2017 through August 11, 2017 and potentially vocational training optionsINTERESTED?
Step1: Complete the appropriate MyCITY application based on the age you will be on 06/22/17. Application week is open from Sunday, April 16 (3:00 pm) through Sunday, April 23rd (11:59 pm) Wednesday, April 26th (11:59 pm).
Step 2: After application week is closed, a random selection drawing will be applied to applications received. All applicants will receive an email from email@example.com with directions regarding your next steps. If you are selected into the MyCity Program, you will receive an email containing appointment times to be scheduled between the dates of May 3 and May 11, 2017. Your mandatory appointment will be held at Youth Opportunities Unlimited (Y.O.U.), 422 E. South Street, Kalamazoo, MI.
Step 3: If application is selected, you will need to bring the following items to your mandatory scheduled appointment:
- Birth Certificate
- Social Security Card
◌ School issued student ID from the 2016/2017 school year (or the most recent report card from the 2016/2017 school year if you do not have a student ID).
◌ If you do not attend a Kalamazoo Public School, but live within the Kalamazoo City limits, please provide proof of residency such as a Michigan ID or Michigan Driver’s License. NOTE: For youth under the age of 18 a parent/guardian ID may also be used to document residency however parent name must be listed on birth certificate or court ordered legal guardianship documentation must be provided. If parent/guardian ID is used to document residency, a school photo ID or report card will be required prior to completing employment documents.
◌ If the applicant does not attend a Kalamazoo Public School, please CLICK HERE to confirm whether your address falls within the Kalamazoo City Limits (vs. Kalamazoo Township). Only applicants that attend a Kalamazoo Public School or live in the Kalamazoo City Limits are eligible to apply.

Completing the application does not guarantee eligibility or participation in the MyCITY program. You may only apply once. Y.O.U. only considers one application per person and each person must apply individually. Selection into the MyCITY Program will be chosen at random from a list of applications received.
