As a career pathway program, YOU presents individuals the opportunity to customized approach to planning their future. YOU pays participants to explore careers in high school, grow as leaders, practice goal setting and accountability and fine-tune employability skills.
Once skills are developed and at their peak, the opportunity to apply them, while continuing to collect a paycheck, at community job sites is available.

What is a short-term training program?
Short-term training includes classes or programs that last a few weeks. It helps you climb your career ladder by qualifying for a job or getting promoted because of new skills, thus earning more money.
Short-term training under CareerNOW can include credit or noncredit courses and industry-specific recognized certificate programs.
Examples of short-term training programs include:
- Early Childhood Education
- Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)
- Phlebotomy
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
- Patient Care Aide (PCA)
