CTE Health Science Teachers Receive Outstanding Program Excellence Award

01/26/21

Recently, KRESA’s Career & Technical Education (CTE)’s Health Science teachers were honored with the 2021 Career and Technical Education Outstanding Program Excellence in Practice Award, which recognizes a successful, exemplary, state-approved CTE program that demonstrates outstanding outcomes, produces measurable results, and leads to documented success in employment and/or post-secondary education.

This award is normally presented to the teachers in front of hundreds of people at the annual Michigan Career Education Conference—but like so many plans in this pandemic era, due to COVID-19 restrictions, that event was cancelled, therefore the much-deserved celebration was somewhat anticlimactic and deflated.

However, although this outstanding achievement may not have been presented or celebrated in the usual way, we wanted to make sure these exceptional instructors got the recognition they so greatly deserved, even if, like so many events these days, it is done virtually.

Kalamazoo RESA recognizes the many sacrifices made and hardships faced by all educational professionals and those in the medical field – and this group of CTE Health Science teachers has the added challenge of being a combination of both of those categories. They continue to persevere for the sake of their students and that is something to be admired and appreciated.

A huge congratulations is owed to:
