Teacher Academy
-
Learn the necessary knowledge of child development and the principles of effective teaching. Students will gain hands-on experience through an internship working directly in a classroom.

"I aim to focus on children living with ASD to help them be confident and successful in school settings. Participating in the Teacher Academy program has allowed me to see first-hand students with ASD being successful in the classroom on a daily basis. I learned the importance of giving all students individual tools to allow them to learn at their own pace. Seeing the happiness in a child’s eyes when they learn something new gives me the most amazing feeling in my heart. Being able to work with the few kids who have a disability and seeing their accomplishments has shown me this is exactly where I want to be. I have learned a great deal. I have not only been challenged but encouraged through the year." — Anne Marie Stacey
