Experience the health care field by learning about human physiology, anatomy and basic care skills while dually enrolled at Kalamazoo Valley Community College (KVCC). Through hands-on instruction, students will explore topics such as how to make lifesaving interventions and stabilize patients during transport to a medical facility. Upon successful completion of the Emergency Medical Technology (EMT) course, students will be eligible to sit for the national Registry Basic EMT licensing examination.

Eligibility & Prerequisites
- Available to dually enrolled 12th grade students.
- Proof of immunizations
- Drug test and background check
- Students provide own transportation
- Students must follow dual enrollment policies and expectations of Kalamazoo Valley Community College
- Extended hours for internship, including loss of spring vacation
