Dental Assisting

Learn the fundamentals of dental assisting, such as anatomy, physiology, terminology, sterilization, radiology, as well as laboratory and clinical procedures. Students will be dually enrolled through Kalamazoo Valley Community College (KVCC) in this hands-on course and participate in a second-semester internship with KVCC and local dental offices.

- This course is available to dually enrolled 12th grade students.
- Proof of immunizations
- Drug test and background check
- Professional health attire expected
- Extended hours for internship, including loss of spring vacation
- Students provide own transportation
- Students must meet academic and attendance requirements for internship
- Students must follow dual enrollment policies and expectations at Kalamazoo Valley Community College
