Kalamazoo RESA, along with several local teachers and students are teaming up with the Gilmore Car Museum and Good Design Group for an exciting project.

The Gilmore Car Museum received a grant from the Margaret Dunning Foundation for $115,000 to be used in creating youth-centered exhibits. They will be planning and creating five interactive STEM exhibits for children and families that visit the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, Michigan. The goal of these exhibits is to develop and inspire the next generation of car enthusiast.

“I think that the opportunity for our local teachers and students to be partnered with the Gilmore Car Museum and Good Design Group staff to collaborate on this real-world project is priceless. It is the true sense of what STEM education is meant to be,” said Mary Burke, science specialist from Kalamazoo RESA.

This project is in the planning stages and will be taking place over the next year and a half.
