Kalamazoo RESA’s Don Dailey oversees the Michigan Data Hub, which utilizes the Ed-Fi data standard to simplify the process of obtaining and sharing student data across multiple platforms.
On Thursday, October 5, Dailey was recognized as the 2017 Ambassador of the Year by the Ed-Fi Alliance, a group of national educators, technologists and innovators who are committed to shaping the future of education technology.
"I am unbelievably honored to receive this, but it is truly the result of the hard work of dozens of others that has allowed me to be an ambassador and promote this amazing technology which will positively impact student learning," said Dailey.
According to the Ed-Fi Alliance, through Dailey’s leadership, the Michigan Data Hub has made data more readily accessible to educators in Michigan, ultimately benefiting learning outcomes for all students.
Additionally, the Ed-Fi Alliance also honored the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction as the 2017 Technical Team of the Year.
Troy Wheeler, President of the Ed-Fi Alliance, described Dailey as an outstanding example of pragmatic and effective Ed-Fi implementations, and thanked him for his commitment to giving back to the community.
