School Bus Driver Continuing Education Program

Private party registrations are accepted with the following requirements:

• Private enrollment must be clearly indicated on the registration form.

• Payment is required before the class date. Payment may be submitted in one of the following ways:

  • Mail a check for $35 to: Kalamazoo RESA – Transportation Attn: Kelly Edra – Transportation 1819 E. Milham Avenue Portage, MI 49002 (Checks should be made payable to Kalamazoo RESA.)

  • Bring cash or a check for $35 to the class and provide it to the instructor before the class begins.

    • If paying in cash, please place the payment in an envelope labeled with your name.

School district registrations receive priority over private registrations.

If a registered driver cannot attend, districts must email a cancellation or replacement notice at least three (3) business days before the class date.

• Districts/entities may be billed the full fee for late cancellations or no-shows

• Supervisors will be notified if a driver misses any portion of the class

Class Cancellations by RTSI

Classes may be canceled due to low enrollment or other extenuating circumstances. Districts with registered drivers will be notified as early as possible, and drivers will be rescheduled for the next available session.
