    This program offers FREE summer training and apprenticeship opportunities for Nurse Assistant, Patient Care Assistant, Early Childhood Education, EMT Training and Skilled Trades for Kalamazoo County youth ages 18 to 24 with a high school diploma or equivalent. This program is for individuals who are interested in obtaining an industry recognized certificate or credential and obtaining related employment upon completion of the training.

    Work-Based Learning (WBL) Apprenticeships

    Earn as you learn and avoid student debt through an apprenticeship with a highly trained industry professional! During an apprenticeship, you learn specific skills through hands-on learning and take classes and training courses. There are 1,200+ apprenticeable occupations such as skilled trades, early childhood education, healthcare, manufacturing, and information technology. Plus, you earn a nationally recognized credential at completion.

    Career Pathways and Employment Connections 

    In this program, youth ages 16 to 24 work with a Career Coach to explore career pathways, develop job skills and gain access to opportunities to start a career you're passionate about! Youth can complete up to 500 hours of paid internships in an industry of their choice, and get free uniforms, tools and equipment required by any job.
