Horticulture

Learn about plant biology, classification and nutrition, as well as soil and
water quality. Discuss horticulture and the landscaping industry and its importance to our economy. Work in the state-of-the-art greenhouse, school garden and local food forest to grow plants while earning an industry-recognized certification.
Students will have the opportunity for leadership, competition and community service through membership in the national Future Farmers of America (FFA) organization. Several scholarships and recognition opportunities are available.
