CareerNOW
CareerNOW is a paid eight-week summer program through KRESA Career Connect designed for Kalamazoo County graduating seniors and graduates ages 18-24 ready for entry level opportunities in the high demand industries of healthcare and skilled trades.
Program Highlights:
Explore High-Demand Careers
Dive deeper into one of two fast-growing fields of healthcare or skilled trades to help you make informed decisions about your future. Exploration occurs through industry tours, occupational fairs and expert guidance from professionals in the industry.
Personalized Career Exploration
Research various career options to identify the best fit for your interests and skills through self-discovery and personal growth.
Paid Mentorship and Industry Connections
Take part in paid job shadow opportunities (Mentorships) with professionals in the industry. Employer mentors will provide guidance, answer questions, and share industry insights, helping participants build their professional network and gain valuable career advice. You will learn about apprenticeships, short-term training, and employment opportunities through employer connections.
Strategic Career Planning
By the end of the program, with guidance, you will have developed a personalized career pathway plan with clear goals and actionable steps to help you move toward your future career confidently.
