Emily Betros, a Kalamazoo RESA project manager at the instructional center, was one of eight staff members who presented their projects during the annual Kalamazoo RESA Foundation/Kalamazoo RESA Board of Education Joint Meeting Tuesday night. Betros received a $750 grant for her “Next Generation Science Curriculum Development” project. Employees received nearly $5,000 in grants for projects to further their professional development and pursue innovative initiatives that benefit educational endeavors in Kalamazoo County. The grants are funded annually by the Foundation and the Board of Education. More than 200 Kalamazoo RESA employees have received grants since 1993.
